Jasbir Kaur
Lori Child LMT, MA OTR/L
Jasbir Kaur
(Lori Child) is a graduate from the University of Southern
California with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
She is also a licensed massage therapist practicing since
2000. Lori looks at rehabilitation from a holistic
perspective and believes in the powerful healing potential
through manual therapies. She has advanced learning in
Craniosacral Therapy, Connective Tissue Massage, Reiki, and
Deep Tissue. Her cranial experiences range from wellness
centers, outpatient rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, hand
therapy and pediatrics. Through a personal experience with a
traumatic injury (shattered leg) and surgery, she found that
recovery requires more than traditional physical therapy.
Her own injury increased her insight into the recovery
process and the importance of compassionate and holistic
treatment. Facilitating self-empowerment is of utmost
priority in her work.
As part of my own healing...yoga and mediation have been essential to my path and development. Through the practice of Kundalini yoga and embracing the essence of my divine self I received my spiritual name Jasbir Kaur:
You have been blessed to live as Jasbir Kaur, which means the Princess/Lioness of God who is glorious and brave, and who walks with grace and power throughout her life.
Jas means glorious, graceful and one who is filled with the goodwill of the Divine. Bir means brave and courageous. Kaur means the Princess/Lioness of God who walks with grace and power throughout her life. Kaur is a name that Yogi Bhajan gave to all women. He taught that every woman has the potential to attain a true state of grace and power, and he encouraged each woman to manifest that potential.
Your new name Jasbir Kaur will remind you and elevate yourself to live with kindness, love and compassion for yourself and others. You also have within you fearlessness and power. Use that energy to serve.
